Reaffirmation of the DiversityEdu Mission

To our colleagues, partners in academia, and course-takers:

The impact of the election for the presidency of the United States and the subsequent events deeply concern us at DiversityEdu.  We want to declare that these circumstances will not diminish the principles and goals that guide our work. On the contrary; they have inspired in us a sense of renewed commitment to diversity and inclusion in education as a basis for full participation and civic engagement in a free and open society.

We reaffirm DiversityEdu’s mission: to teach skills for successful engagement with diversity of all kinds and encourage participation in constructive discourse that underlies inclusive culture. We are dedicated to working with diversity leaders to enhance academic environments that embrace difference and support students, staff, scholars and teachers of all backgrounds and political affiliations.
